OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower each individual along the journey towards personal growth and change. Our focus is to help individuals heal, build resiliency, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a nonjudgmental & safe space to explore, reflect, and develop practical skills for each person to Live Life Fully.
Our Core Principles
COMPASSION
We believe the importance of showing compassion and that it allows us to meet our clients where they are in their journey through life. We strive to provide a nonjudgmental and safe environment where we actively listen to clients carefully and to hold hope and space for clients to feel heard and validated.
INTEGRITY
We understand that clients often seek therapy for guidance and support during the most challenging times of their lives or during a life transition. We believe that the most crucial roles of a therapist include: acting with honesty and adhering to ethical principles. We strive to act in Integrity which involves being truthful, transparent, and firmly upholding moral and ethical principles in our daily practice as well as all aspects of the therapy process.
COLLABORATION
We encourage clients to collaborate with us to meet their goals and to be accountable for their lives in the present and future direction. Effective therapeutic interventions involve fruitful collaboration between the therapist and client. Our aim is to ensure that clients are active participants in their healing journey.
RESPECT FOR AUTONOMY
We believe that clients are the experts in their lives. We respect that clients are taking responsibility for seeking help to solve their problems. We believe that treatment is there to assist them in providing (and choosing) their own answers and solutions to their questions and current challenges.
COMMITMENT TO WELLNESS
We strive to provide services that will allow clients to explore ways to effectively manage daily stressors and to develop and utilize coping strategies to improve their overall wellbeing. We believe that we and our clients (and prospective clients) all have something in common; We are dedicated to improve our quality of life and discover balanced approaches to
Live Life Fully!
More About Kaye
As a first generation Filipinx immigrant, I have experienced the struggles and challenges of growing up between cultures. Through my unique upbringing (and years of self-discovery!) I have gained insight into how to practice cultural integration and ways to live life fully within a multicultural society. I am passionate about and have years of experience working with the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
I received my Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling degree from Loyola University Chicago and I am currently licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). I began my career as a counselor at a not-for-profit community mental health center where I provided individual and group therapy services to folks diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. I also worked for a private practice group for a number of years and received mentorship from a leader who shared the same passion for helping others. All of these experiences helped me develop and hone my skills as a clinician that eventually led to the start of LILY (Live Life Fully) Therapy & Wellness Inc.
I draw from various modalities of therapy and take a collaborative approach to help address each client’s unique need. I incorporate elements of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Existential Therapy, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) to promote positive and effective changes which lead to mental and spiritual growth and development.
